The post holder will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Planning Policy Team as they progress the Local Plan to the next stage in its progress (submission to the Planning Inspectorate).
Typing consultation responses, including handwritten responses, into the Council's consultation system (Objective Software) and undertake associated scanning, redacting, filing and logging.
Arranging meetings for officers using MS Outlook and the Council’s visitor notification system.
Where requested taking notes at meetings
The typing up of meeting notes as requested using MS Word.
General document management and reproduction including, filing, copying and scanning as required to support the work of the planning policy team.
Answering general telephone and email enquiries.
Assisting in arranging consultation events and the preparation of consultation materials.
Handling incoming post, and assisting officers with mail-out work, as required.
Undertaking other basic data input work, and recording of information within an established MS Access Database, or within MS Excel as required.
Any other clerical and administrative tasks associated with the tasks set out above. These other tasks must be equivalent to or below the salary and status of the role and, where appropriate, under the Equality Act 2010, due consideration must be given to any employees with a “protected characteristic”.
